Desert Photos

Here are a few photos of the Mohave Desert in our area.

This rock formation we refer to as "Carved Out Rock" so named because of the erosion of the sand stone.

Shade is where you find it and that is sometimes a bit of a problem in the desert. The Carved Out Rock has provided us with a nice resting spot to hydrate ourselves with a beer or two and sometimes water.

To the left is a photo showing the cloud cover across the desert sky and contrasting with the desert floor.

There are Long Horn Sheep in the Sheephole Mountains to the east.
